What applications run on Virtual Workspace? |
Virtual Workspace runs windows server 2003, so any application that runs on Windows server 2003 will run on Virtual Workspace. Some application which require rapidly changing graphic images, such as video playback and editing wouldn't be suited. |
| How fast will my application run? |
All application run faster on a local pc (unless you have an extremely fast PC). The reason is that Virtual Workspace is hosted on high performance servers, which are far faster than desktop PCs. |
| What type of PCs/Computers can access Virtual Workspace? |
- PC or Laptop running windows or linux
- Macs running OS 10 or later
- Thin client devices (Windows or linux based)

| Can my own application be moved onto Virtual Workspace? |
Yes, as long as these application can run on Windows Server 2003 then they will almost certainly run on Virtual Workspace. |

Virtual Workspace is hosted in a secure data centre in London.

| How often is my data backup? |
All data is continously mirrored. End users have instant access to previous version of their files which allows retrieval in the case that files get lost, delete or over written. |
| Can i print to the printers in my office/home? |
Yes, if the printer is already setup on your PC then it will automatically appear in your Virtual Workspace session. Shared printers can also be set up to be accessible from the Virtual Workspace sesion of anyone in your organisation. |
| What happens if i loose my connection to the internet? |
If you temporarily lose connection to the internet while using Virtual Workspace your session continues to run on the servers unharmed. When you re-connect you will find you session just as you left it. To prevent any internet outage at your office we set up a second internet connection (ADSL, SDSL, DSL or other)that will automatically be used if your main connection goes down. |
